The comprehensive Ayurvedic Yoga Massage training – 60 hours in Four Levels – is open to all persons interested in the art of touch and in manual therapies.
The learning process follows the complete Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM) technique as learned from Naseem in 2001 directly with the founder and master Kusum Modak in Pune, India. AYM is the original fusion of Indian Traditional Ayurvedic Massage and the Yoga of B.K.S. Iyengar: a slow and deep oil massage in combination with lots of stretching and ‘passive asanas’ (body positions) for the opening and re-alignment of the body structure, it’s how to give and receive a deep Yoga session (at all levels).
Alongside the AYM method Naseem combines his long professional experience in Contemporary Dance and Contact Improvisation to teach feeling the possibilities and limits of body movement. Safe and comfortable positions and a sense of fluidity, rhythm and care of movements will transform our massage also in an artistic gesture to give and to receive a Dance (of the hands and fingers on a skin carpet).
A Meditative state of total Presence and dedication is also essential in Naseem’s approach to bodywork and therapeutic gesture. It’s this sense of the sacredness of the moment and the foundamental connection with the Heart the carrier pillar on which the whole learning process and further the therapeutic practice can lean on and develop to give (and give oneself) care and Healing.
